The focus is very much on your relationship with your horse and how to build it to be the best for each of you, to get your horses willingness to perform. The classes typically build over time, with ebbs and flows of more or less of any of the methods to meet you and your horses needs as you progress.
- You feel like you're not getting anywhere.
- There's something that's just feeling off or stuck and you can't overcome it.
- Something is stopping you from moving forward.
- You know you could be doing more, you're trying, but it's not happening!
- You're not having any fun anymore...
- Your nerves are getting in the way of what you used to do, or could be doing now.
- You're wondering if you're enough? Too old? Too (you fill in the blank) to feel the way you want about your horse and/or your riding.
- You and/or your horse aren't enjoying your time together the way you'd like.
- You want to feel more connection and understanding of your horse.
- You're ready to grow, and you know It's time to upskill.
To improve your relationship, your horsemanship, your riding and mindset as well as you and your horses' enjoyment and safety.
Each lesson is worked through to the next as you build and progress. The process is stable, safe, challenging, rewarding and fun.
Concentrating on each unique individual person, horse and your unique combination. You'll get to work on creating and refining goals, overcoming roadblocks, increasing your mindset and intentions, learning your red flags, and your green lights! The lessons conform to both of you for each lesson to build upon the last creating a pathway of progress. There's a lot that gets covered from skill building, health and fitness, mindset, safety and also boldness and courage. The lessons overlap and knit together as your skills, understanding and your relationship with your horse develops to a happier, more successful and enjoyable team. Once you get the right help - You can do it!!
A good place to start...
1. Introduction. How will this work, what are the guidelines, structure and expectations of yours and mine. Then getting clear, and deciding some goals/next steps.
2. Manners. Is your horse polite? How are your manners with your horse? Do you understand and respect each other? This is a great opportunity to create a relationship based on respect, understanding and care. It's wonderful to have this with your horse. To be able to catch, feed, groom, lead, rug, mount, wait around together and have it be calm and easy. And it can be!
3. Rider and Horse Wellbeing Check, we create a clear plan to implement over the coming weeks. I know this is a short description, but this can actually be a big area, with many benefits to be had.
4. Skill building, adjustment of goals to match what's really possible, now that you have some traction and can see you're well on your way.
5. Review and Reflect. How's it going so far? What do we need more/less of? How can we take it up another notch? Are you feeling more connected with your horse? How can this be even better?
6. Review, reflect and evaluate leading you naturally to your own path for the future.
